Uganda Aid Person to Person

The Uganda Aid Person to Person charity’s aim is not only to build the Bunono Primary School but also to develop it as a local model.

The existing crumbling mud hut classrooms are being replaced with structurally solid buildings using local labour.

The Uganda Aid Person to Person charity also intends to create an adequate income to sustain and promote quality education to make the Bunono Primary School a model school. More competent and qualified teachers will generate better performance from pupils and increase enrolment.

We also aim to up-grade the teachers’ professional status. We can do so by paying them to return to college.

Uganda Aid Person to Person charity’s is giving sewing machines to the women’s' groups in the area. These women are taught to use them and make garment like school uniforms.  They can then sell them and this helps with their own income.

We buy the machines in Kampala and take them to Rukingiri area and distribute them. We have already donated 3.  We are hoping to supply 10 more on the next visit.

Each machine costs about £100, including fabrics, scissors, needles etc…
